Skanska´s newest office building is the project City Green Court which will offer on eight storeys approximately 16 300 sq m of leasable office space around impressive atrium. The flexible and energy efficient office building is located in one of the best accessible areas of Prague 4 – Pankrác.
During the development of City Green Court, particular attention was paid to energy efficiency and to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. The project received LEED Platinum Pre-Certification as the first office building in the Czech Republic. According to Skanska´s tool – Skanska Color PaletteTM the project is defined as Green.
Sustainability Criteria:
Energy Concept
Energy consumption of the building 22 % lower than required by LEED certification
Building Design
Green roof
Retention of rainwater on the site (water tank of 100 000 l) and its utilization for watering the flora at the site and use for building mechanical systems
Heating, Cooling and Ventilation
Naturally ventilated atrium
High efficient AHU units
Low speed of air flow, limited flow trough cooling beams, constant air pressure in ducts
Lighting Design
Occupancy and daylight sensors
Automatic turn off of lights in the office areas
Minimal external light pollution
Renewable Energy and Recovery on Site
Heat recovery, garages heated with exhaust air from office area
Water Management
High-efficiency fixtures such as automatic fixture sensors, flow restrictors, dual-flush water closet, waterless urinals (water savings 10 500 l/day)
