Ira S. Rubenstein is Partner at Traficon s.r.o., and Managing Director of Investment Banking at Bradley Woods & Co. Ltd.; at both firms he specializes in Alternative Energy & Clean Technology matters and transactions. At Traficon, he brought an energy banking practice to the firm, which provides advisory services and capital raises for its international client companies. At Bradley Woods, he initiated discussions that led to creation of its investment banking group, which advises and raises structured capital for public and private companies. He also conceived of, developed/helped structure, recruited managers for, and advises several Alternative Energy & Clean Technology funds that are to either be sponsored or advised by the firms....read more...

Eric Johnson is an Executive Cost Manager and LEED Accredited Professional based in Gardiner & Theobald’s Prague office. He has extensive construction industry experience working on large construction projects in Europe, the Middle East, and the United States of America. He is well versed in every aspect of cost management, estimating and quantity surveying practices. His specialized experience is within the field of cost control, earned value management, and sustainable / green building certification. Since he joined Gardiner & Theobald in 2007 he has worked on a number of major projects, including the new Radio Free Europe office broadcasting headquarters, various redevelopments in Prague, and several sustainable developments. Eric is currently responsible for the development and execution of Gardiner and Theobald’s Central and Eastern European service for green building certification.

Eric is completing an MSc in Real Estate and Construction from the University of Sheffield-Hallam & Nottingham Trent University and is a member of the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering International, the American Society of Professional Estimators, and a student member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.

awatar_vogel Petr Vogel is assistant advisor in EkoWATT, Czech Republic. He is focusing on energy-efficiency, indoor comfort, sustainability and integrated planning of buildings. He graduated at the Czech Technical University in Prague as Master of Architectural Engineering. During the studies he performed study abroad experience in the USA (one-year) and Austria (half-year). From the gained experiences and drive towards the topic of building sustainability he successfully started his career in the company EkoWATT, Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Centre, where he has been working by now. In the company he is responsible of energy concepts of new or retrofitted buildings, dynamic computer simulations of building performance and R&D projects.

Petr Kotek is assistant advisor in EkoWATT, Liberec, Czech Republic. His specialty is building information modeling (BIM) using energy assessment tool such as IES, Ecotect for reaching balance between low energy and indoor air quality and sustainability. He is also expert in EPBD certification of new and existing buildings. He graduated at the Czech Technical University in Prague. Branch of study: building physics and HVAC systems. During post-gradual study he focused on building performance simulation and take fellowship in TU, Eindhoven, Netherlands. He started his carrier during studies as an energy advisor in architecture company Omicron-K and designer of HVAC systems in Petlach TZB company.

After PhD studies he successfully started his career in the company EkoWATT, Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Centre, where he has been working by now. In the company he is focusing in energy concepts of new or retrofitted buildings, dynamic building performance simulations and R&D projects.

With the team he is founder of “green building encyclopedia” project www.setrnebudovy.cz.

He is a active member of IBPSA (the International Building Performance Simulation Association)

Antonín Lupíšek is member of the Czech Sustainable Building Society (CSBS), official Czech chapter of International Initiative for a Sustainable Built Environment (iiSBE), founded 2005. In the CSBS organization he is responsible for organization of an international conference Central Europe towards Sustainable Building 2010 that will take place 30th June – 2nd July 2010 in Prague and is also member of the Technical Committee of iiSBE.

He is researcher at the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the Czech Technical University in Prague (CTU) within the Centre for Integrated Design of Advanced Structures (CIDEAS) in sustainable building group. Since 2006 he runs his own consultancy in the field of Sustainable Built Environment, Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Sources. 2007 started project ekoblog.cz focused on new environment friendly technologies. Cooperates with Alternativní energie journal.

He graduated 2006 at the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the Czech Technical University in Prague. He was involved in the European FP6 project LEnSE – Methodology Development towards a Label for Environmental, Social and Economic Buildings. Now works at his PhD thesis “Complex performance assessment in the context of sustainable building” at CTU.
