Ira S. Rubenstein is Partner at Traficon s.r.o., and Managing Director of Investment Banking at Bradley Woods & Co. Ltd.; at both firms he specializes in Alternative Energy & Clean Technology matters and transactions. At Traficon, he brought an energy banking practice to the firm, which provides advisory services and capital raises for its international client companies. At Bradley Woods, he initiated discussions that led to creation of its investment banking group, which advises and raises structured capital for public and private companies. He also conceived of, developed/helped structure, recruited managers for, and advises several Alternative Energy & Clean Technology funds that are to either be sponsored or advised by the firms.
Mr. Rubenstein has consulted to, participating in helping to finance, and served as investment banker for Alternative Energy & Clean Technology companies and projects for the past 20 years. His business travels have taken him to Austria, Canada, China, Finland, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Ukraine and the United Kingdom.
He has also been an entrepreneur in the industry, helping found and grow three private firms: - Global Clean Technologies, Inc., which provides clean technology companies with effective and cost efficient ways in which to enter new markets. GCT acts as a partner for non-US companies seeking business in the US, and for US companies seeking business abroad. - Homeland Energy Resources Development, Inc., which he conceived of with two co-founders. HERD has partnered to develop biodiesel production facilities in the Northeast and Midwest US. - HRST Inc., which consults to energy and environmental companies at early stages of growth.
He has also helped found and direct several business-related NGOs in the Czech Republic and in the United States, there at both state and federal levels: - Czech Republic Green Building Council (currently in formation), which coordinates promotion of sustainable building activities across the Czech Republic. - Center for Economic and Environmental Partnership, Inc., which sponsors programs involving the insection of economic, energy and environmental factors. CEEP’s projects range from those affecting small municipalities to others having global reach. - Environmental Industry Coalition of the United States, which helped create and pursue White House-related opportunities that supported economic development and environmental quality. - Environmental Business Association of New York State, Inc., which represents energy and environmental companies in New York State. - Emerging Industries Alliance of New York State, Inc., a coalition of aerospace, biotechnology, environmental, nanotechnology, software/information and photonics industries trade groups. - Business Incubator Association of New York State, Inc., the association of New York State academic, independent, not-for-profit and private business incubation facilities.
Mr. Rubenstein holds a Series 7 securities license in the United States.
