Introducing Six New Members of the Council

Six new members joined the Czech Green Building Council in the new year. Thus, there are currently 98 members. We are looking forward to work with Armstrong Building Products BV, Bayer MaterialScience AG, LINSTRAM Ltd., TVO Europe, a private school Architectural Institute in Prague (ARCHIP) and RNDr. Marcela Velebilová as an Associate Member.

Armstrong Building Products BV is a world’s leading manufacturer of suspended ceiling systems with the widest portfolio of products – acoustic ceiling tiles from mineral, metal or wooden and all types of grid, including design profiles and wide Bandrasters. Established in 1860, Armstrong has celebrated its 150th anniversary last year. Also in the Czech Republic is Armstrong one of the strongest players in the construction market. The company participated in projects like the Ice hockey hall O2 Arena in Prague, office buildings Motokov and City Tower in Prague, or Nová Karolina in Ostrava. Architectural Institute in Prague (ARCHIP) is a new private international school of architecture with instruction in English. ARCHIP offers a bachelor study programme in Architecture with standard length of full time study three years. The college situated in the heart of Europe is truly international, with an emphasis on international students and faculty. The size and focus of the school suitably complements existing institutions providing architectural education in the Czech Republic, which makes for a broader choice of options for students interested in studying architecture. The programme of the school is based in studio instruction; other professional courses should relate to it and complement it. Lectures in theory combine with practice-oriented seminars, excursions and workshops – practical instruction is assigned a great weight in the study programme.
